Unfortunately, we have the very same problems in Canada. The past 10 years have been a disaster under the liberal party and now we have elected them again with a new leader who is a former banker?? Immigration is out of control, there is a housing shortage and government spending is insane!

I hear you — sounds like the same story playing out all over. It’s frustrating to see governments ignore the real issues while digging deeper into debt and chaos. Hopefully more people wake up soon and demand leadership that puts citizens first.

I’m an immigrant. But I don’t really see it that way.

First and foremost I’m an American. The fact that i immigrated to get here is just part of my story and it makes the most important point - that I *am* an American - even sweeter to me.

Wow- your words are always sharp and direct- this is surgical and blunt in the best way possible. And you calling out these ideologues who call names and insist on these fabricated over the rainbow narratives are not impacted. You just told the enemy of the people we know who they are

Wow Ivana, this is so powerful!

I think that many freedom-minded libertarians feel guilty about having been born in the most free country that they want to support open borders so others can experience freedom. But this sentiment gets exploited by the system you describe. We become tools and useful idiots for others with a radically different agenda.

Keep going!

Thank you so much—that means a lot! And you’re absolutely right: good intentions get weaponized all the time. Freedom isn’t about throwing the doors open—it’s about protecting what made that freedom possible in the first place. We can’t be guilt-tripped into national suicide. Glad we see eye to eye—more coming soon!

Most LEGAL immigrants are against illegal immigration. I talked to a legal immigrant who is furious about the border jumpers. She has had her siblings on a list for years to LEGALLY immigrate and is still waiting.

Wow! Ivana rules!

You can have open borders or a welfare state: pick one. Most of Europe said, “Oh no, we’re super smart and doing socialism properly this time, so we’ll have both!” Hopefully the US is finally pulling back from similarly insane policy.
