We sent our 4 to parochial schools. The oldest two went through HS graduation with no issues other than the "normal" teenage BS. Incredibly well balanced young adults. The younger two were pulled out at 13 and 10, respectively, due to a complete drop in values and enforcement of expectations. Home schooled them through their GED's. Both are now quite accomplished young adults with, what we feel, is a great appreciation for the way they want to be successful in their lives, versus what they're seeing in many of their peers. It's not just public education that's failing our youngsters.

It seems teachers colleges produced for several generations propagandists rather then curriculum pedagogues. No wonder that teachers union is a bastion of left wing excesses.

Colleges that award teaching diplomas must be reformed from activists factories into real teachers prep institution first and foremost.

Also changing badly skewed Females (78%) to males ratio (4:1) between teachers needs to be corrected - hiring male veterans might be first step there.
